Year 1: Survive (& Thrive!)
A calendar-aligned framework to coach new school leaders
could include diverse areas of exploration:

Summer Prep &
Back to School
Core values: How do your values align with your school’s mission? How will you “show up”?
Balance: What anchors you - beyond your role as a school leader? How will you integrate personal and professional life and model balance?

Overwhelm: Is there (really!) enough time? What happens when you feel like what you do is never enough?

The School Year
Relationships: How do you manage up, sideways, and down in service of your students, teachers, and community?
Priorities: How does your calendar reflect what you value? What "comes first” - and why?
Morale: How do you maintain connection as spirit ebbs and flows? How do you model positivity (without being tone deaf) when energy wanes?

Finishing Strong &
Beginning Again
Closing strong: What are you proud of? What growth in students, colleagues, and yourself do you see most powerfully? How will you show gratitude for and celebrate?
Next: How do you take the learning, insight, and hard-earned wisdom of the school year and use it to inform your priorities for the new school year? What does success look like in Year 2?
